Strategic Research
We have participated in strategic research projects aimed at promoting research and development in Basque language technologies. The Hizking 21 project came to an end in 2005 and was followed by the Anhitz project, scheduled for completion in 2008.
There have been five members in the consortium for the two projects, as follows:
- VICOMTech research centre
- Robotiker research centre
- IXA and Aholab Groups of the UPV/EHU-University of the Basque Country
- Elhuyar Foundation
The Department for Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Basque Autonomous Community Government has designated these projects as lines of research of strategic interest, and has assisted them through the Etortek programme.
